Over Spring break 2022 Boy Scout Troop 488 completed 3 days of fun in St. Louis Missouri. We visited the Zoo, were able to go up in the Arch, explore the City Museum, then round the trip out with a visit to the Science Center and Planetarium all while camping at a nearby KOA.

SUMMER CAMP 2022! This year Boy Scout Troop 488 spent the week at Camp Crooked Creek in Lebanon Junction, Kentucky enjoying the beautiful landscapes, earning lots of Merit badges, and just having fun! 

Boy Scout Troop 488 recently completed a 3 day trip to Alabama. The first stop was Huntsville, Alabama to tour the U.S. Space and Rocket Center. From there, they headed to Oak Mountain State Park in Pelham, Alabama for a weekend of camping. They spent the following day at Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum in Birmingham to participate in the Engineering Merit Badge Program. The scouts helped disassemble and reassemble a motorcycle as part of the merit badge requirements. The Barber Museum holds the Guinness world record for housing the world’s largest collection of motorcycles. The exhibits are housed in a 5-story, 144,000 sq ft building. Just down the road from the museum was a Bass Pro Shop, so they had to stop and check it out as some scouts had never been in one. Everyone had an awesome trip and earned the Engineering Merit Badge!
